Hello,
April was a little hectic for me. With all the fun and excitement of Admin Appreciation Month, I feel like I spent the entire month in perpetual motion. I really enjoyed participating in all of the events and traveling, but that kind of schedule takes its toll. So, after such as busy month, my focus for May is on taking better care of myself.
Self-care is something a lot of admins (myself included) neglect. We are so focused on supporting our executives and teams that we forget to make ourselves a priority. This isn’t healthy and can have a big impact on our health. So, I’ve made it my goal to create a better habit in this area during the month of May, and do one thing each day to take better care of myself — whether it’s talking a walk, getting a massage, or organizing my personal files.
And I encourage you to do the same.
During the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing some tips and strategies on how to pay more attention to your personal well-being. Developing healthy habits in this area is important to support creativity and innovative thinking in your career!
This week’s feature article kicks off our self-care initiative by highlighting some tips for reducing your stress level. Also, make sure to stay connected with us via Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn for more tips on taking care of yourself. We’ll also be sharing information about our upcoming two-year anniversary celebration for The Innovative AdminTM.
Supporting your administrative success,
Julie Perrine
