Every admin needs a mentor — regardless of where you are in your career. You’re never too experienced, too old, or too knowledgeable. There’s always more to learn.
Finding a mentor is essential to your administrative success. But when it comes to finding a mentor, it’s important not to think too narrowly. Mentoring takes many different forms. It can be done face-to-face, through books, or online as you’ll learn in this week’s feature article below. Your mentor doesn’t have to be a fellow admin either. It can be anyone you respect and can learn from.
Mentoring has many facets, and this month, we’re sharing some great resources, tips, and strategies to help you find and be a mentor.
Given that we’re celebrating the International Year of the Secretary and Administrative Assistant this year, we hope to inspire you to get out there a share your knowledge with your fellow admins…and learn from each other, too!
Supporting your administrative success,
Julie
