This is my favorite time of the year – Thanksgiving! My family has a lot of traditions we’ve cultivated over the years to make it extra special. When I married my husband, I was able to bring some of my traditions to his family which makes them even more meaningful.
One such tradition is making sugar cookies shaped like turkeys. This tradition started when I was in elementary school, and my mom and I would bake cookies for my classmates each year at Thanksgiving. It has continued ever since. This past weekend, my eldest niece got married. With her wedding being so close to Thanksgiving, I decided to surprise her with a special version of our turkeys – cookies fit for a bride and groom! They were a definite hit.
As I reflect on the past year, I am very grateful for the opportunities and challenges that have helped me grow. My husband and I completed a big move. I am almost finished with my second book. We have reached thousands of assistants worldwide through our website and training programs. And I am thankful to you for being part of our growing admin community. I am also very thankful to my training colleagues around the world who have become collaborative partners in supporting you and your success. Together, we are making great strides toward the administrative profession becoming a recognized, respected, and integral role in the 21st century office! And I look forward to 2016 and all that it holds for each of us. I believe the best is yet to come!
So as I celebrate Thanksgiving with my family this week, my wish for you is happiness, meaningful traditions, and a heart filled with gratitude!
Happy Thanksgiving!
