When was the last time you felt well rested? Do you spring out of bed each morning energized and ready to take on the day?
Sleep is one of the basics of self-care, yet many of us don’t get enough of it.
With caffeine to help us wake up and energy bars to propel us through the day, sometimes we trick ourselves into thinking we can compromise our sleep habits and get away with it.
Over time, though, it adversely impacts our ability to focus and stay productive.
But even worse, it can cause you to gain weight, put you at greater risk for diseases, and contribute to early mortality.
I don’t know about you, but I’m not voluntarily signing up for that.
In this week’s feature article, I look at how to tell if you are sleep deprived and share a few tips on how to sleep better.
We’re also sharing lots of articles and resources on the importance of sleep on our Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn pages this week.
Challenge yourself to get at least 30 to 60 minutes of additional sleep each night in the coming week and see how you feel! I’m betting you’ll notice a difference.
Supporting your administrative success,
Julie Perrine
P.S. Getting enough sleep is just one of many ways to be more productive, both at work and in your personal life.
