Need some great career advice?
Then you need to connect with Tory Johnson, Workplace Contributor for Good Morning America.  I had the opportunity to meet and hear Tory Johnson speak during the Beyond Rubies Women’s Conference that I also presented at a couple of weeks ago.  Tory is one of those resources I strongly encourage you to connect with online.  Her website is  Sign up for her email updates and connect with her on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.  She provides great career advice and tips every admin will benefit from.

Not quite sure how social media can be useful in your career?
I know a lot of admins are still trying to figure out how some of the social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, or LinkedIn can be used for career building purposes.  I recently created a list of over 70 people or companies I follow on Twitter than I feel provide great content, tips, training, and/or advice that admins would benefit from.

To make it easy for admins to check some of these great resources out without having to create their own Twitter account  (if you haven’t already), you can now subscribe to my daily “online newspaper” at: I don’t choose the headlines or featured articles, they are randomly selected for me each day from the list.  But all of the resources I’ve included consistently provide content you will be able to use in technology, education/training, HR, career, business, leisure, and more!  Be sure to check out past issues in the “Archives” section.  If there are others you are following that you think I should include on this list, drop me a note at:

Can you say? Passons à Montréal!
Translated: Let’s go to Montreal!

The International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) International Education Forum and Annual Meeting early bird registration is NOW OPEN!  I’m quite excited about this year’s event not only because I’m presenting several technology and social media sessions, but because Clinton Kelly of TLC’s What Not To Wear is one of the keynote speakers.  This conference is not only packed full of GREAT professional development and training, it’s an awesome way to meet and network with admins from around the world.  You can download the brochure and get full conference details here:
